It’s been almost nine months since I had a photo session and I wasn’t sure for a while if I’d get back into it. The baby is three months old now, we’re home from the States finally, and everyone’s settling in really well to our new routine. My friend and photographer buddy, Melanie, wanted some photos of her and her husband so it seemed like as good a time as any to get back into the swing of things! I have about eight more months left in Misawa and will be doing sessions after all. Melanie and Jordan’s photo shoot was a great way to kick-off those next eight months!

My boys and I left Misawa on the voluntary departure in March and went to stay with my mom for a while and had my third son. Then the three boys and I went back out to visit with my in-laws for a few more months. There I got to spend time with my wonderful sister-in-law, Jen, and we had another photo shoot! We’re doing a Seasons series together, so now that you’ve seen “Winter“, here is “Spring”!

Jen :: Winter

My sister-in-law, Jen, and I have so much fun when we get together! Our family was out visiting over the winter with my husband’s family. Jen and I just had to take some time to romp around in the snow and snap some photos of her! Isn’t she gorgeous?!

Mari and her adorable son, Mr. G, and I drove out to Komaki for my last session of the year. I’m so thankful the cold has held off just a little longer and that there are still a couple vibrant leaves clinging on to their branches! It was a beautiful weekend and I had such a great time with these two! They love to dress up and looked absolutely fantastic! I was so excited when I saw their outfits!

Mari is just stunning and Mr. G was so much fun! He loved to play in the leaves, but wasn’t so sure about petting the horses! Thank you so much, S family, for lugging your chair out and dressing up so beautifully and for sharing the day with me!

Little Mr. I turned 1, so we headed to the Statue of Liberty park for some birthday pictures! The four of our boys had a great time running around together and sliding down the roller slide! Little Mr. I isn’t walking yet, but was seriously on the move! I had a hard time keeping up with him as he speed-crawled through the leaves! He was such a sweetie and, although he didn’t give me his famous cheesy grin, I did get a ton of sweet smiles out of him. Happy birthday, Little Mr. I !!

I’d been meaning to get pictures of my friends Keri, Muriel & Erin’s kids for a while, but it’s been hectic with all the travel and new clients lately! We finally all made it out together to the Statue of Liberty park to have a play date and snap some photos. It was pretty chilly, but at least it wasn’t raining or snowing! I loved having so many happy, easy models! Thanks, girls, for a fun afternoon out with the kids!

Ellen is another squadron spouse I had met at some get-togethers. She also is well-known on base for her awesome cakes! I met Andrea through some squadron spouse events; her husband is Matt’s commander. It’s always nice to see her at events and she is such a warm person! I was excited to hear the whole family wanted to get their portraits taken this year! We headed out to Komaki in the morning and I’m so thankful that the leaves are still hanging on! The kids were all great and humored me with my goofy poses. It was a ton of fun and they all looked great! Thank you very much, A family, for choosing me as your family photographer!!

FBA Yearbook Photos 2010 :: Misawa, Japan School Photographer

It’s that time again — for school yearbook photos! Last spring I did some sessions for Faith Baptist Academy, the private school held at my church. We decided to get this year’s photos taken during the fall, while the pretty leaves were out. The school is only a handful of children, so it went quickly and they were all great! It was a beautiful day out at Komaki, though a little chilly. They were all great sports about it, though! Elicia did a great job putting together the ’09/’10 yearbook last year and I look forward to seeing this year’s!

Soris’s Baby Shower :: Misawa, Japan Event Photographer

I can hardly call this work. I had a fantastic time partying with some wonderful gals at Soris’s baby shower over the weekend! What an adorable party and a great group of ladies. I met the beautiful mom-to-be, who received some amazing gifts for her little girl. We played some goofy games, enjoyed delicious treats, and had just a good old time socializing.
