Directions:

Leave through POL gate. Continue straight on POL road to Towada.

As you reach Towada, the train line will be on your left. You will pass two schools on your right, separated by a stop light.

At the next major stop light, take the right hand Y. You will pass Aomori Bank on the right at a stoplight.

Continue past two more stop lights. As it seems you are leaving the city, you will pass another school on the right, set back a few blocks. There will be a stop light with no buildings nearby.

After this stoplight, the road bends slightly to the left. At the next intersecion, turn right.

You will begin picking up signs to the Horse Park. Look for brown wood, vertical, with a horse shoe. The writing will be in Japanese, but the horse shoe is at the top of the sign.

After about a mile you will be turning left.

After half mile, you will cross an intersection that is not exactly at right angles. A service station might be visible on your left. You will continue straight.

The road bends to the left and begins to rise into the foothills. Look for the horse museum entrance on the left.

• 8:30 am – 6:00 pm (Apr. 1 – Oct. 31)
• 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (Nov. 1 – Mar. 31)
• Closed: Mondays (or Tuesday if Monday is a national holiday) and New Year (Dec. 29 – Jan. 3)
