Ultrasound Clinic
On the bottom right of the map where it says R 45, that is the main road that goes into Hachinohe. If you want to get there via the toll road, then take Momoishi toll road from Misawa to Hachinohe. Turn right onto route 45. Take route 45 to the bottom of the hill, past the overpass. Or use my directions to get to Hachinohe without paying tolls.
To get to the clinic, turn right at the McDonald's intersection and follow the map. When you get to the clinic, you must get a pass and turn in your car key at the booth in the parking lot. Then they sign your pas at the clinic after your visit. The ultrasound clinic is not by appointment. I went on a Tuesday morning, waited in a full waiting room for about 30 minutes, then was seen for a 2D ultrasound with a doctor. After that I was directed to a seat in the hallway, given a printout of the 2D pictures, and waited for a 4D room. A technician called me in to do the 4D ultrasound. I had a VHS tape that she recorded on for me and also gave me prints of the 4D ultrasound. They did not volunteer gender information, but I did ask the tech and she consulted with the doctor and did tell me a gender prediction. It all cost 2,000 yen. I do not speak any Japanese, but it was pretty easy to get around and know what to do. Congrats and good luck!

[...] Hachinohe Clinic (For Ultrasounds) [...]
How many weeks do you have to be? Thank you.
Hi,
Do you know where the other ultrasound clinic is in hatchinohe?
I heard there are 2 ultrasound clinics, and i would love directions for the other one.
Thank you
Jennifer, I don’t remember exactly but I’m pretty sure it was 24 or 25 weeks before they would tell you the sex. And they didn’t come out and tell me after the scan, I had to ask specifically. Sorry for the late response; I just saw this!

Hi Avery,
I’m sorry but I don’t know where the other one is. Back with the on base clinic didn’t do gender determination, they gave me this sheet and it’s the only place they mentioned. Have you tried this one and weren’t pleased? I hope you’re doing well!
