The women in our church had a nice Ladies’ Fellowship last night, hosted by our pastor’s wife. The theme was friendship and it’s always uplifting to read and share about good friends. We had some delicious snacks and a jewelry exchange, which was done White Elephant-style (but we are all way too nice to steal from each other, I guess, so we just took turns grabbing something pretty!) I got a cool silver bracelet, a black Hawaiian beaded necklace, and a silly pom-pom hair tie (mostly for Rhino to play with, haha!) We also drew names for our Secret Sister, which will run until August. I haven’t participated in one of these before, but it sounds like lots of fun! At church we can leave each other little anonymous notes of encouragement or small gifts, pray for our Sister during the week, and try to (sneakily!) get to know her better! We’ll see if I can keep the secret well enough or if my Sister will figure me out in the next three months!
