Rhino's Teeth and Other Updates

Rhino’s got some super-cute little bottom teeth! He’s had them for a while now, but I poke my head in his mouth a couple times every day still to take a look. He seems to have gotten over a lot of his teething grumpiness (for now!) now that they’ve poked most of the way through. We were using these [amazing] homeopathic teething tablets when he was really upset, which worked wonders for him, but now we never need them (again, for now.) We brush his teeth every night with a little finger brush and some baby toothpaste. I think it’s one of his favorite times of the day! Most of the time he is pretty grouchy at night as he’s fighting off sleep, but once we stick that yummy little brush in his mouth, he’s good to go. I tried some of the toothpaste myself and thought it was terrible, but apparently he loves to suck that delicious stuff off and then gnaw on the rubber. It’s a good before-bed activity, as it has calmed even his worst moods. Matt thinks he will have amazing oral hygiene when he’s older. We’ll see if his love of dental care carries over into the future!

We also have a few other cute new-ish videos. Papa got him this great high chair that just straps onto our normal dining chairs. It adjusts height, reclines to different degrees, has adjustable straps and arms, and a tray. Rhino’s not eating solids yet, but he still hangs out in the chair and watches us eat. Well, really he’s usually just playing with a toy. Here he is playing with the spinning tree Grandma and Grandpa found and, my favorite, him sucking on this little freaky cloth bird’s beak. Oh, and I just can’t resist a naked rolling over video! :-)
