I am a healing machine!!
So….WoW. Got a ton done, me and Mel are currently almost halfway through 68 (so close!). There is an instace for lvl 70′s called Karazhan (kara for short) that requires a big long quest line to complete. Well a few things that slow people down to get their keys are running lower instances so they can unlock higher ones that have a quest for part of the key in it. There are three instances you’ll need to unlock. Well, we finally got a group together to go do Old Hillsbrad to unlock Black Morass for later. The first night we went we wiped on the very last part which stunk. Anyway, we all promised to run it again the next night. We died only once and it was on a beginning part due to lag but we creamed the last part. Was kinda funny. Anyway, one member asked if anyone wanted to do Sethekk Halls, another instance pre-req we needed to run, so off we went. Lag and a few bad pulls had us running back from the graveyard once or twice but we finally finished it up and headed to bed. The next night, we went into mana tombs. Being a lower instance to our level we didn’t have too much of an issue. The first boss was cake as his big thing is a nasty shadow dmg knockback to all party members in the form of individual bolts. Well I put my grounding totem down and it sucked up a few of them making healing all the easier. The second guys just did this earthquake thing which did measly dmg, mostly just tank and spank. The last guy was a little harder…but only cus we made it that way. The boss himself is not that hard, but he starts with 3 of these beacons and summons more through the fight. Left alone the beacons become actual mobs that alternate shooting fireballs then frostbolts, then fireballs etc. The normal strat is to kill the beacons fast then go back to the boss. We ignored the beacons which made the fight turn into a nonstop healfest for me lol. Anyway, that’s a lot of running. Then later in the week, last day of the headless horseman event, I went down and ran it three times with four other guys. Now for the loot breakdown. In old hillsbrad, I got new leather shoulders, that had better stats but half armor to my old shoulders. They look a little odd on me what with being birds and all. Mel got a nice chest piece. I don’t really remember much more. In sethekk halls all I really remember is mel getting new bracers. In mana tombs Mel once again won out on loot, and got a really nice new sheild (which looks freakin awesome imo) off the first boss. And not to be bitter but me and this holy paladin lost a roll on a really nice healing cloak to the shadow priest in our group. He shortly there-after stated to the guild he was planning on switching to holy…hope he isn’t just sayin that to make us feel better (also, this is his alt….mains before alts I always say). At least during the headless horseman runs I was the only healer and the awesome purple quality witching band ring dropped, so I got that for when I hit 70. During all of this, for the most part I never had an issue with my mana. Shadow Priest + Earth Shield makes it super easy to heal an awesome tank. That’s about all. Just remember, that even guildies will sometimes piss you off by rolling for something they shouldn’t be (I mean come on…if he’s rolling holy at 70…he’ll prolly get a better cloak by then…I’m LEVELING resto…not just respeccing to it later)
