So Keelon finally hit 50 the other day! I almost didn’t make it due to feeling “WoW down” or something. I played alts a little bit and some other random stuff. Anyway, ran back to org to get my 50 spells and and found out I had some quest for shamans, weeee. Anyway, got a group of guildies together to do this instance called Maraudon. So here goes…

Maraudon is really fun, but really long. We spent about 4 hours running only 2/3rds of it last night. Anyway, we had me the fresh lvl 50 shammy, a 50 lock, 51 mage, 50 druid, and a 54 rogue. All of the other guys dinged, so I felt a little left out of the level in mara club Anyway, I put on my caster gear and played healer while our druid tanked. There were a few times in the beginning where mono the druid almost died due to my not paying attention to hitpoints. Anyway after about an hour I had the healing thing down and what totems to drop when (agi/str here, nature resist/poison cleansing there) and all that. Anyway I think we killed…7 bosses give or take. One was an elemental that did nature dmg and a full party poison. My totems where there to make a fool of the attempt on his part. Anyway, about halfway through killing him he explodes into three smaller elementals that are easy to kill. Then he’ll reform after a bit. He dropped the worst loot he can drop (some dumb trinket). Next up was this huge white plant thing. Straight forward, he did some AoE stun and roots I think but mostly a melee boss so no problems there. He dropped some nice druid pants for mono. Next up on the “hitlist” was this satyr demon guy. He wasn’t too hard, he came with two friends that were stealthed and teleported around alot. An agi totem, str totem, and mana totem followed up with healing as I watched the group maul him to death was fun! He dropped a decent dagger but our rogue had a purple and a sweet blue that was better. So back we went. Next up was Celebras this cenarian guy. He cast some lightning bolts (or tried as he was kicked/earth shocked into silence) and when he got close to dying he summoned these little tree guys that weren’t much of a problem. They all ran for me but he died before they even got to me. He dropped the fist weapon which is off-hand only, so no one took it. We worked our way to this huge rock giant guy. He did this long tremor thing that lasted about 8 seconds while he summoned these non-elite golems. He dropped without much problem. He dropped some semi decent offhand orb, but no casters wanted/needed it so it just got vendor trashed (no enchanters in the group). On to the main reason alot of people go to mara: the Princess. Now…I must say this, she is the ugliest mob/boss I have yet to see. She’s just this huge fat blob of nature evil. Anyway, we all down a nature protection potion for insurance and then pull her. She fears mono which I promptly counter with my tremor totem. Anyway, she mostly just hits kinda hard and does these little toots of air that knock everyone away and do nature dmg. She feared mono again when she was at about 14% health and we just kited her for the rest of her health. She dropped my new dagger, can’t remember the name but it has sweet int stats and regens mana! She dropped some ring I didn’t get but we plan on doing princess runs to get our mage and lock that dagger. Anyway off we jump into the water to fight rotgut. All he does is melee…but he hits HARD. I cast healing wave almost the whole fight one after another, there was never any danger it’s just he took mono down to 50% in no time flat. He dropped a 2h axe which also got promptly put into someones bag for vendor trash. Then we worked our way to this goblin boss guy. He drops the counterpart to that dagger, and awesome int/mana regen shield. Alas, the loot luck held and he dropped some stupid gun…again readied to be sold to the vendor. So with sighs and a few “the hell?!”s we all ported to TB and flew to deso to turn in quests. Got three quests done and I’m pretty close to 51. Now I will get tons of rest as I go on vacation this coming week Anyway, that’s about all I got for now. Afterwards.
